     Handmade in England as a Victorian period reproduction, this pedestal credenza represents the finest in craftsmanship today. The burr oak, for instance, displays a remarkable complexion and a distinct grain, both which look especially lovely in contrast with the solid brass hardware. The winged escutcheons house functioning locks in all drawers, while the pulls are in a traditional swan neck style. There are five normal drawers, two writing slides, and two file drawers, which accommodate legal- and letter-sized files. In keeping with traditional English furniture-making, each drawer also features hand-cut dovetails. A modern addition to the design of this credenza, however, is the convenient central drawer, the face of which falls to reveal that it is a keyboard drawer. The plinth base is as sturdy as they come, while this Victorian style credenza separates into the top and two pedestals for shipping and easy movement. Because it is handmade, this credenza in extremely sturdy and durable, so it would make a valuable investment in any furniture collection.
