This Georgian style writing desk is made by the finest traditional craftsmen in England as a reproduction of an 19th century Georgian period desk. Every aspect of this writing desk is of the absolute highest quality. The wood looks great, with a nice color and very pronounced grain and accented by optional rosewood and satinwood inlays. The three drawers come equipped with solid brass hardware, which compliments the wood very nicely, and they also have locks and dovetailed joints, which are a sign of excellent craftsmanship. The top of this writing desk is a writing surface of fine brown, green or black leather bordered with decorative gold tooling. The leather really makes a great writing surface, far superior to wood, glass, metal, or plastic. This desk sits on any of several leg types, including round or square-tapered with customizable feet. This writing desk would certainly make a fine addition to any home or office furniture collection!
