This walnut reproduction antique bookcase is hand-crafted in England as a Georgian period reproduction and imported directly to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA, USA. The walnut used in the making of this reproduction antique bookcase, which undergoes an elaborate finishing process that includes hand-distressing and hand-polishing, displays an incredibly rich complexion and grain just like antique furniture of old. Optional satinwood, yew wood or other inlays, which usually run around the face of the bookcase as well as around the moulding, may also complement the walnut beautifully. This English walnut double bookcase is as sturdy as it is beautiful, with a strong plinth base and a total of eight strong bookshelves that are fully adjustable by means of an alligator bracket system; there are two more shelves in the bottom of the bookcase, inside the locking cabinets. All of the shelves measure 16.75 inches deep.
