Available in mahogany, burl walnut or burr oak with customizable dimensions, this beautiful English breakfront partners pedestal desk is hand-made using the same techniques that were employed by the master craftsmen of the Victorian and Georgian periods. The wood is beautiful, being hand-distressed, hand-finished and hand-polished. Optional satinwood, rosewood, walnut or oak banding around the drawer fronts also contrasts beautifully with the wood. The top of this desk is a writing surface of fine leather, available in brown, green, black or burgundy, bordered with a hand-worked pattern of gold tooling. The leather makes an excellent writing surface, much better than wood, glass, or metal. The hardware on this partners desk is elegant solid brass with the drawer pulls being swan neck style. What makes this desk unique is its breakfront shape, plinth base, and rounded corners and columns.
Because this English desk is a partners desk, both sides have drawers, while the pedestals are reversible so you can have the drawer configuration to your liking. The central drawer is a hidden keyboard drawer, and the face drops down for use. Each of the drawers boasts hand-cut dovetailed joints, which show the level of detail and care that went into the production of this desk. Also, every drawer and cabinet has a working lock, and the desk comes with several keys. The pedestals are very sturdy so you will never have to worry about the desk becoming shaky or wobbly. This desk also breaks down for easy moving / shipping into the desktop and 2 pedestals.
