This antique pine chest of drawers was handmade by Bentalls, Ltd. in Victorian England around 1890. Today, the chest remains as beautiful and charming as ever, with a rich patina and a lovely pine complexion. The brass hardware also contrasts beautifully with the wood, helping to lend it some of its rustic appeal. This chest is nevertheless finely crafted, however, as the hand-cut dovetails on each drawer attest. The plinth base remains quite sturdy, although some superficial wear has developed (see pictures). Overall condition is therefore very good.
