This fine antique occasional table was crafted in England and dates back to about 1910. It is made from solid mahogany, which has aged beautifully to reveal a pleasant, light patina. The form of the tabletop octagonal, although each facet is carved serpentine style to give the piece an elegant overall look. In the center of the tabletop is an inlaid fan patter of satinwood, and around the sides is a border of crossbanded mahogany. The table sits on ornately designed french style legs, which hold each other together through stretchers which meet on a smaller version of the tables top. Overall, the condition of this table is very good. I have included photos of all the minor damage below, and as you can see they're only typical of a piece of this age and really only create character.
