Here we have an unusual set of six cherry wood dining chairs from England, made around 1960 in an Art Deco style. All six chairs are armless, very sturdy, and the finish is in good condition. The cherry wood has a wonderful mellow color and the grain is quite elegant to look at. The backrests feature reeded supports, painted black finials, and an ebony inlay. The seats are covered in a tan corduroy material, however, since the seats pop out they could easily be recovered. The upholstery is in good condition with no stains or tears. The chairs have simple tapered legs joined with a stretcher completing the elegant look of the chairs. Overall this is a beautiful set of cherry chairs that would make a wonderful addition to any home.
