This lovely oak bookcase was crafted in England around 1940 and recently imported to our Atlanta furniture store. The beautiful oak remains as rich and striking as ever, with a wonderful patina and a distinct grain. The brass hardware, carved panelsand the glass doors themselves also look quite pleasant. Both sets of doors lock with an accompanying key, while the shelves in the upper section are fully adjustable. Although this bookcase remains very sturdy and attractive, it has sustained some minor surface wear, particularly on the top and the sides of the feet. although the top is not normally visible (see photos). Also, strips of wood have been added to the shelves since the piece's construction in order to stand plates up (see photo). Overall, the condition of this bookcase remains very good.
