This lovely antique coffee table was French-made around 1890. As beautiful at it is sturdy, the carved solid oak has developed a lovely patina over the years and shows a rich complexion and grain, while the base itself is perhaps the most striking aspect of the table. At one time, this table would have had leaves to insert into the top so it opens but no longer has the extra leaves. There are a few stress marks in the top as well as a few repaired separations on the base, one of which runs through the column and one through one of the fox heads. Also, the finish around the skirt is significantly faded. Overall, the condition of this table is very good.
