English oak dressers like this one are traditionally used in the kitchen or dining room to display china or other valuables. This beautiful dresser would fit that purpose wonderfully having leaded glass doors to the top, three large drawers (one fitted for silverware), and two large cabinets to hide clutter or larger items. This hutch was made around 1960 in England and is in good, sturdy condition today with no wear to the piece. The cabinet doors are decorated with carved "linen folds" or "scrolls" (we have heard it called both). The counter and the middle shelves have beading to stand plates up on for display. The leaded glass doors and cabinet doors are held shut with spring loaded latches. The counter is 30" high. Overall this is a beautiful piece that would add elegance to any dining room, kitchen, or area where you need a display piece.
