This lovely serpentine sideboard was originally crafted in England around 1950. The wood is a dark mahogany which has developed a rich patina over the years. It boasts a lovely grain with some very impressive lighter tones. The mahogany is also complimented by inlaid satinwood banding which can be found around the top of the piece, as well as around the fronts of the drawer and cabinets. Each of the cabinets of this sideboard has one shelf and features working locks. The central drawer also has a working lock, and the piece comes with one key. The hardware on the drawer and cabinets is dark brass and also goes with the mahogany quite well. The six legs of this sideboard are all square and tapered, and have spade feet. Overall, the condition of this piece is very good. The only noteworthy flaw is that there's a bit of crackling on the crossbanded border around the top, but this does not detract from the beauty of the piece. This sideboard would make an excellent addition to any home, so don't miss your opportunity to bid on it today!
