This gorgeous mahogany game table is newly English-made by hand as a reproduction following antique Gillows style design. The cabinetmaker treats the wood to an elaborate finishing process that begins with various stages of distressing and staining, and ends with a fine coat of hand-rubbed wax. The result is a rich complexion and grain in the mahogany and optional satinwood banding, which form the perfect complement to one another. In contrast with the wood are brass swan neck pulls and a green leather top bordered by hand-worked gold tooling. The distinctive rounded corners and fluted legs look quite striking, while two drawers--each featuring hand-cut dovetails--pull out to provide convenient storage space. Of course, because this game table is newly handmade, it is flawless and quite strong, and will be sure to last for decades to come.
