This mahogany antique bookcase cabinet was hand-crafted in Edwardian England around 1910. Over the years, this English antique bookcase has aged quite beautifully and has sustained very little wear. The mahogany, for instance, has developed a lovely patina that helps to enrich the distinct grain and complexion of the wood. There is plenty of storage space, and both the upper bookcase section and the lower cabinet section lock with an accompanying key. The sturdy plinth base also provides stable support, while the drawer features hand-cut dovetails and the shelves are fully adjustable by means of an alligator bracket system. The counter and base have sustained some scratches but otherwise this English antique bookcase remains as strong as ever, so overall, its condition is very good. Also, there is no need to worry about setting this bookcase up, since the top comes off of the bottom; the two sections should be screwed together for extra stability.
