English Antique Warring & Gillow Mahogany Demi Lune Sideboard Buffet Cabinet

Warring & Gillow Ltd manufactured this beautiful cabinet in England around 1940. The company was formed in the late 1800's and in 1980 merged with Maple & Co who still make high quality furniture pieces today. This beautiful demi lune buffet is made with a wonderful flame mahogany. The single center door locks with included key and the interior houses one shelf. The detail in this sideboard is outstanding. Everything from the rope carved moulding, to the ball and claw feet, even the paneled back speaks to the quality and care that went into constructing this buffet. There is some slight crackling to the finish of the flame mahogany oval panels and minor indentations consistent with its age especially on the top, however, this buffet is in very good condition and is quite sturdy. It will serve a variety of functions, anything from a foyer or entryway piece, a dining room server, or a hall or stair landing piece.
