This antique style yew bookcase was English-made around 1960 as a Georgian period reproduction. Today, the yew remains as beautiful as ever, with a lustrous complexion and a striking grain. The astragal glass moulding, which is composed of individual panes of glass (a sign of high quality), also looks quite elegant, while the brass hardware forms a lovely complement to the wood. Both sets of doors lock, providing secure storage, the upper shelves are adjustable, and the lower shelf is removable. The upper interior does contains lights but they will need to be rewired to function in the U.S. Additionally, there are a few nicks here and there (see pictures), including two spots of damage to the top left and right corners on the sides. There is also a very minor repair to the astragal glass moulding in one small area, but the repair was carried out quite well and only a small amount of glue shows if you look closely. Otherwise this bookcase remains in very good condition.
