This stunning antique style bookcase was English-made circa 1960 as a Georgian period reproduction. Beginning with the elegant break front design, this imposing bookcase looks absolutely incredible, with astragal glass doors, dental moulding and gorgeous mahogany construction. Pierced brass pulls, designed after their antique predecessors, contrast beautifully with the wood, while mahogany crossbanding and satinwood string inlay adorns the drawer and lower cabinet fronts. Conveniently, every single door locks with an accompanying set of two keys, while the upper shelves are all fully adjustable. Each drawer of course features dovetailed joints, while the bracket feet remain quite sturdy. There are areas of wear to the finish throughout this bookcase, particularly on the moulding and around the feet and base (see pictures). Otherwise, the structure and beauty of this English bookcase remain as lovely as ever. Finally, this bookcase does disassemble into two sections, the first being the upper, and the second being the lower (starting from the counter). The upper shelves are 12.5" deep.
