This charming plant stand was handmade in Edwardian England around 1910. Today, the mahogany looks quite beautiful, as it has developed a patina, which helps to enrich the complexion and grain of the wood. The satinwood string inlay also complements the mahogany wonderfully, while the shaped skirt and sabre legs also look elegant. There are no stains and no major damage, which is unusual in antique plant stands. It does appear that the skirt has been repaired, there are a few wear marks, and the stand does wobble a bit, but otherwise it remains sturdy and in very good condition.
