This wonderful mahogany dressing table was hand-crafted in England around 1910, during the Edwardian period. Since then, the wood has come to acquire a lovely patina, which nicely accents the high quality of the mahogany. Brass Hardware provides a nice contrast with the wood. Various carvings and grooves, as well as the turned columns on either side of the tilting mirror, provide subtle accents that adorn the piece with a fine elegance. Five drawers, each of which feature hand-cut dovetailed drawer joints, and a cabinet space provide generous storage space. The sturdy plinth base supports the piece quite firmly. Condition remains excellent, despite a little spotting on the mirror, which is inevitable of a piece with such age. Certainly, this Edwardian mahogany dressing table would make a fine addition to any home.
