This unique and charming chest of drawers was crafted in England around 1910, during the Edwardian period. Today, this chest remains quite a beautiful piece, with a lovely patina that helps to enrich the complexion and grain of the mahogany. Satinwood banding and solid brass hardware also contrast wonderfully with the mahogany, although the wood itself has sustained some wear over the years, including fading in the finish. Each drawer features hand-cut dovetails, and the chest itself rests on casters for convenient movement. Although this chest is quite sturdy, it has developed a small wood separation in the top (see pic), which is purely cosmetic and therefore does not affect structural integrity. Thus, overall, this chest remains in very good condition for Edwardian-Period furniture.
