This unusual piece was originally an armoire made in France around 1900. Recently an English craftsman has converted the piece into an impressive wine cabinet. He removed the wooden insets of the doors and replaced them with old chicken wire and added 3 adjustable wine rack shelves. At the bottom of the interior are two drawers for additional storage. The walnut armoire itself is a work of art, decorated with many beautiful hand carvings. The crown is especially well carved and stands out from across the room. There are some minor veneer bubbles to the sides of the piece, and other normal wear for a piece of this age. One of the top corner carvings has some very minor scraping to it. A key is included, however, the lock no longer functions. The doors stay shut fine without locking. Overall this cabinet is extremely sturdy and beautiful and will make a statement to any room. This cabinet will disassemble so moving it in will not be difficult.
