Originally, yew wood was only found in England and has been used to make furniture for the past 200 years or so. This piece, made in England around 1960 exhibits some of the wonderful qualities of yew wood. The unusual and eye catching grain and color are the first things that pop out about this piece. The four drawers and four locking cabinets provide plenty of storage and make the sideboard very versatile. The sturdy bracket feet keep the piece very sturdy, and little details like the beading around the drawers and doors, and the swan neck handles finish the piece off spectacularly. This buffet is in good condition with only minor wear consistent with age. There is one area on the right side of the top that has some old scratches and stains (the stains mostly cover the scratches) which can be seen in the picture of the top. Overall this is a wonderful piece that would make a great addition to any home!
