Antique Victorian Pine Chest of Drawers

This charming antique pine chest of drawers was handmade in Victorian England around 1890. Over the years, the pine has developed a rich patina that complements the lustrous complexion and striking grain of the wood. The result is a beautiful, country style chest that would make a fantastic addition to any home. With a total of four drawers, each featuring hand-cut dovetails, this pine chest offers plenty of storage space. While it remains as sturdy as ever, this chest has sustained some surface wear consistent with age (see pictures). The top once had a backsplash of some sort, and there are still light areas on the wood where it would have attached as well as a few screw holes. Small nail heads also show in several places, although none protrude. Overall, therefore, the condition of this antique chest remains good.
