This lovely antique mahogany sideboard was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1890. Since then, the sideboard has come to acquire a stunning patina, which especially compliments the wispy mahogany grain. Other attractive details include a lovely, shaped skirt; elegant, square tapered legs; brass swan neck pull and knobs; and herringbone inlay along the face of the sideboard, a subtle and intricate feature characteristic of fine craftsmanship. Three cabinets (two closed with shelves, one open) and a silver drawer make for plenty of storage space. The drawer features dovetailed joints, signifying sturdy construction, and placement is easy and flexible, as the piece rests on casters. Despite a small crack in the skirt, and a few barely noticable scratches and dings--inevitable phenomena with a piece almost 120 years old--this sideboard is very good condition. Useful, elegant, and beautiful, this antique Victorian mahogany sideboard would certainly make a fine addition to any home or office!
