Featuring beautiful mahogany and elegant hand-carvings, this dressing table was made in Victorian England around 1890. The oval mirror is held by two carved arms which sit upon stacks of three drawers on each side. In between the drawers is a flip up storage area. There is one additional drawer in the middle of the counter. Each drawer features two turned wood knobs. The base is curved inwards to allow space to sit at, as this piece was originally used in a bedroom to sit at and get dressed etc. Being over 120 years old, this piece is in good condition but does have a few signs of age. The mirror has spotting which you can see in the pictures. The frame of the mirror has a few separations which are a cosmetic phenomenon that comes with age. The left arm that holds the mirror has a repaired split that can be seen in the photo, and the area of the frame that attaches to this arm also has a repair to it. The bottom of the piece has some veneer missing and repaired and an age separation on the other side. These are purely cosmetic problems and overall this piece is quite sturdy and in great shape.
