This quaint yew wood bookcase was made in England around 1960. Yew wood is a native English wood that has a subtle mellow color and intricate grain. This bookcase has three surfaces for books or other display as well as a cabinet for storage. The cabinet is held shut by magnetic latches and opens with two brass ring pulls. The brass contrasts wonderfully with the yew wood grain that is prominently displayed on the doors. The piece has normal wear for something of this age, and is quite sturdy.
