Accompanied by an optional broken arch pediment, this bold mahogany breakfront bookcase is crafted in England as a traditional antique Georgian style reproduction. The flame mahogany displays a rich complexion and highly distinct grain, both of which are complemented by elegant patterns of satinwood inlay, particularly the urn-shaped inlays that decorate the lower cabinet doors. Antiqued brass swan neck pulls modeled after those of the Georgian period form a beautiful complement to the mahogany, while the mahogany fretwork on the upper bookcase doors looks quite striking. With a total of six book shelves in the top, this bookcase offers plenty of storage space and, moreover, every single cabinet locks, so you can store your library book collection with confidence. Additionally, there are three drawers, each featuring dovetailed joints, while the bookcase sits on a sturdy plinth base. The bookcase section separates from the cabinet section for shipping and easy movement so this piece fits just about anywhere. An excellent example of English antique style reproduction furniture, this mahogany bookcase would make a fine addition to any home or office!
