This lovely antique style chest of drawers is hand-crafted in England and directly imported to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA. This antique style chest is, like all of our English reproduction furniture, made with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail possible, and has a distinct look and feel that cannot be achieved with cheaply made imitations. The exquisite wood is hand-distressed and shows a rich complexion and pronounced grain. While it is new wood, the cabinetmaker has treated it to an elaborate finishing process so that this chest appears beautifully aged and mellow; indeed, this antique style chest of drawers looks like a museum quality antique. The edges of the top are a border of optional walnut or satinwood crossbanding, while the lowest drawer features an extravagant bowl star inlay pattern of satinwood and ebony inlay. This textured contrast of the crossbanding and inlay give this antique style chest a great deal of character and makes for a beautiful overall effect. While all the drawers boast hand-cut dovetailed and elegant brass hardware they also feature working locks and keys.
