This antique style Welsh dresser is handmade by an English cabinetmaker as a Georgian period reproduction. The cherry shows a rich complexion and a striking grain, both of which look especially fine because they are treated to an elaborate finishing process that begins with hand-distressing and ends with a wax polish. The swan neck pulls, which are also made in England from solid brass, contrast beautifully with the lustrous cherry, while the elegant hutch sits firmly atop the base. Each drawer features hand-cut dovetails, and the potboard is crafted with faux planks and nail covers. Like most Welsh dressers, this piece does of course disassemble into the top and bottom sections, and because it is handmade, this dresser is incredibly sturdy.
