This quaint oak refectory dining table was made in England sometime around 1950. The refectory style is a timeless look that can be used in many places in the home. This table has large, carved bulbous legs that attach with a stretcher that runs floor level under the middle of the table. The top does detach from the base for easier moving. This table easily seats six. The faded oak top has a wonderful rustic appeal to it. There are a few age separations in the top that have been repaired. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the integrity of the table. You can see several other age separations in the base in the pictures. The entire piece has a distressed look that is very charming.
