This charming antique chair set of four was crafted in England around 1920 and recently imported to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA. The oak, after years of developing a lovely patina, now displays a remarkably rich complexion and a distinct grain, both of which look especially striking in contrast with the brown leather seats. The barley twist legs also look rather elegant, as do the simple traditional backrests. Conveniently, the seats do pop out for easy cleaning. The chairs remain in excellent structural condition and so are quite sturdy. Each chair has, however, sustained wear consistent with age, in the form of wear marks in both the wood and the leather; the pictures accompanying this listing show a representative sample of the wear that has developed in each chair. Overall, therefore, these antique English chairs remain in good overall condition.
