This flame mahogany breakfronted bookcase was made in England around 1960. One of the most beautiful features of this bookcase are the arched fretwork glass doors on each side and a arched open section in the middle of the top. These doors and the bottom cabinet doors all lock with included key. The open middle section and each side top door contains two adjustable wood shelves. There are three drawers for additional storage in the middle of the bookcase. The cabinet doors hide a large cabinet and a smaller one, each with one removable shelf (all shelves are there, one is just at the bottom of the cabinet in the open picture. The entire bookcase sits on a strong bracket feet and is very sturdy. There is normal wear on this piece in the form of light scratches in various places throughout. They are minor and do not detract from the piece. Overall this is a wonderful bookcase and it should last for generations to come. The upper shelves of this bookcase are 10" deep.
