This unique shutter cabinet was handmade in England around 1901, during the Edwardian period. The mahogany displays a lovely patina and a rich complexion, while the shutter face itself is quite appealing. The cabinet locks open closing and opens at the top with a special double-sided key. The shaped bracket feet are as elegant as they are sturdy, and the paneled sides look wonderful. Even the interior of the cabinet, which holds a total of nine file trays, has a striking, classic appeal. This shutter cabinet is also in excellent structural condition, although it has sustained significant surface wear (see pics). Overall, therefore, this cabinet remains in good condition.
