This bookcase is made from the native English yew wood. Yew wood has a very mellow color and distinct grain that come together to create a very eye-catching piece of furniture. The top section of this bookcase features adjustable glass shelves and can be wired to have lights in the top. The glass doors feature 13 pane astragal glazed doors. Underneath the glass doors is a row of drawers with dovetailed drawer joints and brass swan neck drop pulls. Below the drawers are the beautiful yew wood cabinet doors. The vibrant grain on these doors leaves quite the impression. Each cabinet houses one wooden shelf. The entire bookcase sits on a plinth base. This bookcase was made in England around 1960. The bookcase is in very good condition with only minor wear you would expect from a piece of this age. The glass and cabinet doors do lock with included key.
