This lovely solid oak armoire was made in Brittany, France during the 1920s and converted into a bookcase. The front doors have glass on top with geometric designs in oak on the lower half of them. The cornice is beautifully carved. When opened the piece reveals six shelves that are held in place by a bracket system which makes the shelves easily removable / adjustable. There is a latch on the left hand side of the interior that holds the left door closed. This piece was well cared for over the last 80 years and shows little sign of wear and tear. It would certainly compliment any home or office.
