This beautiful mahogany corner washstand was hand-crafted in Victorian England around 1880. The flame mahogany remains as beautiful as ever, with a deep, lustrous complexion and and a striking grain that have grown more pronounced with the development of a rich patina. A single drawer provides convenient storage space, while the other two are faux. The three brass pulls have been replaced, as indicated by the small black rings around them, and the stretcher has developed rings, probably from a plant. The top has developed a superficial separation between the two halves, which is a result of age. This washstand remains as sturdy as ever, so overall condition is very good.
