This unusual walnut corner cabinet was English-made around 1960 as an antique style reproduction. What makes this cabinet unique is the burl walnut with which it was constructed, since most corner cabinets of this style and period were made of mahogany or yew. The burl walnut does in fact look quite fantastic, with a rich complexion and a striking grain, while the astragal moulding and slight bow front shape also look elegant. The two upper shelves are removable, while both the upper and lower doors lock with an accompanying key. This cabinet appears to have been originally constructed with distressing, so it does not seem to have any noticeable wear marks and remains in excellent condition.
