This charming antique oak cupboard was crafted in England around 1950. Today, this piece remains as beautiful as ever, constructed as it is of beautifully patinated solid oak, which displays a deep, lustrous complexion and a distinct grain. The brass hardware of course contrasts beautifully with the oak, although in some places the finish is undergoing a process called "bleaching," which is a lightening of the grain (see photo of bottom cabinet doors). The left door is missing a latch like the kind that secures the right door shut; there are also a variety of wear marks and small stains on the front and sides, including a small separation that is beginning to form in the wood on one of the sides (see picture). This cupboard does remain sturdy, however, so overall condition remains very good.
