The Edwardian furniture period (from 1900 - 1910) in England was relatively short but produced some of the most well crafted, beautiful antique pieces of the 20th century. This English wall clock is no exception. Cased in stunning mahogany and accented with satinwood and ebony inlays throughout, this clock is quite eye-catching. The clock runs and keeps good time. It is wound with an included hand crank. The winding mechanisms are a type of spring loaded mechanism. It chimes on the hour and simply chimes the number of hours. The pendulum is a work of art in itself, made from brass it features tiny barleytwist columns on either side. Behind the pendulum is a small mirror. There are two long, turned columns that compliment the style perfectly. One of these columns has a small repair at the bottom. The finials at the top of the clock also appear to have tiny repairs at the very tips. Overall this clock is in very good condition and would make a perfect accent to any room in your home or office!
