This interesting oak piece came from Holland and was made around 1900. It is a drop front secretaire desk that folds up to an almost armoire looking piece when not in use. The desk, drawer, and doors all lock with included key. The desk section is covered in a dark green leather and the interior is fitted with a number of small drawers. The exterior of this desk is decorated with raised geometric patterns common to Holland's furniture of this period. There is also a pair of carved lion heads just under the top drawer on either side with fluting that runs below them. The oak has developed a very nice patina and the desk is in very good, sturdy condition. It has minor wear throughout that is consistent with its age. Overall this desk is a very unique piece that can fill a variety of functions. It is sturdy and in good condition and would make a wonderful addition to any home or office.
