Antique Dutch Mahogany Chest of Drawers

This beautiful antique Dutch mahogany chest of drawers was crafted around 1890 in the Netherlands. The mahogany looks wonderful, with a well-developed patina, color, and grain. This chest has two frieze drawers on top of an additional two graduated drawers. Striking flame mahogany was used to create the face of these drawers. The drawers boasts large resin knobs and hand-crafted dovetailed joints in the front and rear. The bottom drawer is about 9.5 inches deep with the drawer above it being 8 inches deep. This lovely chest of drawers sits atop four turned toupie feet. Some wear to the finish yet consistent with age, this chest remains in very good condition. The clean, simple lines add to the charm of this antique Dutch chest of drawers, which would make a great addition to any home furniture collection!
