Hailing from England this spectacular hand carved oak server was made during the Victorian furniture era, around 1890. In tremendous condition, this piece will make a fine addition to any discriminating home or collection. From the beautiful barleytwist columns to the carved lions head handles, everything about this server boasts quality and style. The top has a beautiful marble surface that is framed in oak. The marble has an old repaired crack to the left side, that can be seen in the photos. The repair was done well and the marble does not move. The backsplash is a wonderfully carved floral design which is complimented in the carvings on the drawers. The two drawers offer plenty of storage space and are dovetailed in the front and back, a sign of superior quality craftsmanship and and indicator of age and authenticity. There are two shelves below this, one of which has an age separation in the boards. This is purely a cosmetic phenomenon that comes with age and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. Overall this is a wonderful piece that can fit in any number of places in your home.
