This exquisite carved oak hunt cupboard was crafted in Victorian Europe around 1890. Today, the oak remains as beautiful as ever, with a rich complexion and a striking grain that are sure to look great in any setting. The carvings look marvelous, with herons on the lower doors, griffons on the central supports, and a deer head on the crown. Elegant barley twist columns likewise flank the face of this cupboard, while floral carvings adorn the top, middle, and drawer fronts. Both sets of doors lock with an accompanying set of keys, so you can store your things securely. Each of the drawers also features dovetailed joints and slides in and out very smoothly. This cupboard even disassembles for shipping and easy movement: the crown screws to the top bookcase section, and the middle support simply sits on top of the base, with small pegs to keep it held in place. Although this cupboard remains beautiful and quite sturdy, it has sustained some superficial wear, including wood separations in the side, one of the griffons, and the counter. There are also a number of small wear marks, and one of the feet is missing part of its wood moulding. This type of light, superficial wear is typical for a piece of this age, and overall they simply add to its antique charm, so the condition of this Victorian cupboard is very good.
