This unique table was crafted in Europe around 1900 and features a beautifully carved lions head base. This table at one point separated and had leaves that went in it, but this is no longer possible from the way the top is screwed to the base. The table and base are solid oak and very heavy and sturdy. The oak has developed a wonderful patina and the grain showing on the table top is stunning. The edge of the table top is carved. There is some wear to the top in the form of minor scratches and dings, and one spot of discoloration. The base has minor old repairs and splits that can be seen in the pictures. None of these affect the structural integrity of the table, which therefore remains in very good, sturdy condition. There is 24" between the floor and the bottom of the apron on this dining table. This table would make a wonderful dining table or go perfectly in a breakfast room or large entry way. Don't miss this unique, and hard to find table.
