This exquisite mahogany bookcase and drinks cabinet was crafted in England around 1960 as a Georgian style reproduction. The flame mahogany displays a deep, lustrous complexion and a remarkably pronounced grain, making this bookcase a fantastic addition to any setting. The trim along the glass, shaped apron and bracket feet look great, while the brass swan neck pulls and escutcheons contrast beautifully with the mahogany. All cabinets lock with an accompanying pair of keys, while all upper shelves are adjustable. The central drinks cabinet door falls down to reveal a mirrored counter, perfect for preparing beverages. For convenient movement and shipping, the top simply lifts off of the bottom, so there is no need to worry about getting this piece into your home or office. Although it is quite beautiful, this bookcase has sustained some superficial wear, mainly in the form of minuscule scuffs, but the cabinet doors are also a bit worn on the surface. All upper cabinets feature light bulbs but the bookcase needs to be rewired for the lights to function in the U.S. Structurally the bookcase remains impeccably sturdy, so overall condition is very good.
