This beautiful oak fire screen was handmade in England around 1920. Today, the oak remains as beautiful as ever, with a deep, lustrous complexion and a striking quartersawn grain. The barley twist columns frame the screen beautifully, while elegant finials top the piece. The stitching itself is in a lovely floral pattern, and should look great in any setting, although it has sustained numerous stains. The left finial has come a bit loose and parts of the frame have also developed stains, but otherwise both cosmetic and structural condition remain very good.
