     This lovely little oak bureau was crafted in England around 1960. Today, the oak remains as beautiful as ever, with a rich complexion and a distinct grain. The brass hardware contrasts wonderfully with the wood, while the turned baluster legs remain as sturdy as they are elegant. The desk features a writing surface inlaid with brown leather as well as several compartments and a single drawer. Each drawer features dovetailed joints, while the fall itself rests on supports that extend automatically when the desk is opened. Although this bureau remains quite sturdy, it has sustained notable wear, including some stains in the interior desk compartments, superficially warped hinges, and various wear marks. Overall condition therefore remains good.
